John L. Gustavson Ph.D.

About Him:

John L. Gustavson, Ph.D., attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s (1975) and Master’s (1980) Degrees in psychology, and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1982. He qualified for and was licensed as a psychologist in Iowa from 1982 to 1985, and then in Colorado since 1985 (license #987).

He is affiliated with the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychologists, and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Dr. Gustavson specializes in psychological and neuropsychological services, including evaluation and treatment of emotional and mental disorders with adults, individual therapy, behavioral medicine, pain management, consultation, bariatric evaluations, forensic services, employee assistance, presentations, workshops and staff support.

Dr. Gustavson is one of the founders of the practice, which was established in 1985 with Dr. Dale Bowen. He has 5 children and 14 grandchildren, many of whom live in the Grand Valley. He enjoys playing golf, watching football and baseball, and spending time with family.
